Fake Instagram DM Generatorfor creators and brands

Instagram DMs are where collabs start, drops get hyped and stories get their replies. MockupChat recreates the Direct screen — purple-to-blue gradient bubbles, the “Seen” line and the blue tick — so you can storyboard those moments as clean mockups. Free, in your browser, no login.

What you can customize on Instagram

Instagram features

  • Read receipts
  • Reactions
  • Replies
  • Voice notes
  • Group chats
  • Link previews
  • Verified badge
  • Custom wallpaper (not on Instagram)

Not shown because Instagram doesn't have them: custom wallpaper.

Every skin: iPhone & Android · Light & dark mode · Status bar time, battery & signal · Photos & big emoji · Your own avatars.

  • The gradient you'd recognise anywhere

Your bubbles shade from purple at the top of the screen to blue near the composer, the way Instagram paints them. Incoming messages stay a soft grey, or charcoal in dark mode.

  • Seen and reactions

Mark your newest message as read and a small “Seen” appears beneath it. Heart or emoji reactions attach to the corner of any bubble.

  • Verified badge and handle

Tick Verified on a participant to add the blue badge next to their name in the header. The subtitle shows their handle or a status such as “Active now”.

  • Profile photos in the thread

Incoming messages carry the sender's round avatar, just like Direct. Upload a picture or keep Instagram's default grey silhouette.
