Text Story Maker for fiction told in messages

Some stories are best told one message at a time: a wrong number that turns into a meet-cute, a cabin weekend that gets spooky, two old friends finding each other again. Cast your characters, write the exchange and export the scene as an image for your fanfic, webcomic, book post or creative writing class.

WhatsApp, iMessage & Instagram: free PNG with watermark. Other exports require Pro. Updated .

Tell the story in the chat itself

  • Cast your characters

Every name in the quick script becomes a character. Give each one a profile photo and decide whose point of view the story takes by choosing who is “Me”.

  • Pace it with timestamps

Open a message to set its time. A gap of three hours between “Who's there?” and the answer does more work than a paragraph of narration.

  • One scene per image

The PNG captures what is visible on the phone screen. Export a scene, change or continue the messages, and export again to build a story beat by beat.

  • Choose the app that fits the cast

Teenagers on Snapchat, a family on WhatsApp, a guild on Discord: switching the platform redraws the same conversation, so you can try a few before deciding.
