Fake Slack Message Generatorfor product and team stories

Slack screenshots explain how work happens: a launch going live in #announcements, a bug triaged in minutes, a team celebrating a win. MockupChat recreates the Slack mobile screen — aubergine header, square avatars, reaction counts — so you can show those moments in a pitch deck, a case study layout or a recruiting post without exposing your real workspace.

Slack is a Pro platform: edit and preview for free, export with Pro for $9.99/month. Updated .

  • Reactions
  • Replies
  • Voice notes (not on Slack)
  • Group chats
  • Link previews

Not shown because Slack doesn't have them: read receipts, voice notes, verified badge, custom wallpaper.

Every skin: iPhone & Android · Light & dark mode · Status bar time, battery & signal · Photos & big emoji · Your own avatars.

  • Channels with the # header

With three or more people and a header title, the top bar reads #your-channel in bold white on Slack's aubergine. Two people make a direct message with the person's name instead.

  • Square avatars with initials

Slack uses rounded squares, not circles. Without a photo, each person gets an initial on one of Slack's flat default colours — pink, green, yellow, blue or purple.

  • Reactions with counts

Emoji reactions sit in small pills under the message with a count, outlined in blue when you've reacted too. Great for showing a 🎉 pile-on after a launch.

  • Dark mode and replies

Dark mode switches to Slack's charcoal theme. Replies quote the original message above the answer, which keeps a busy channel readable.

Slack generator questions

Use it responsibly

MockupChat makes mockups for content, ads, memes, storytelling, app demos and presentations. Don't pass a mockup off as a real conversation, put words in the mouth of a real person or customer, or use it to mislead anyone. Where a screenshot could be taken for real, label it as an illustration. The details are in our Terms.
